ITI Energy
ITI Energy Limited manufactures a compact and highly efficient thermal conversion technology based on a patented advanced gasification design. Combined with the most up-to-date, commercially available gas clean-up systems the technology generates a synthetic gas that is clean enough to fuel an internal combustion engine.
Now located at the Advanced Manufacturing Park (AMP) in Rotherham, ITI Energy is a spinout company from the University of Newcastle, which has designed and developed an intensified and miniaturised (i.e. highly efficient) and environmentally friendly (CO2 neutral) patented gasification process technology – converting biomass into flammable gas mixture for green energy generation.
Gasification is a well established technology but ITI Energy has developed a patented gasification system that is suitable for use in internal combustion engines and has received performance guarantees from several major suppliers of gas engine powered electricity generation equipment.
