DavyMarkham’s extensive and flexible engineering capabilities are able to provide design, manufacture and installation services to the new build nuclear and renewable green energy projects. In addition, the Sheffield based company’s vast experience of hydro-electric power generation and wind turbine application allows it to support the upgrading and refurbishment of existing plant and equipment.
We have substantial fabrication, machining and assembly facilities which are ideally suited for the manufacture of key components for the power generation market.
As well as supplying complex and large machined fabrications for stator frames, low and intermediate pressure steam castings and diaphragm plates, DavyMarkham also provide the following; design and supply of main inlet valves; machined forgings for shafts and other specialised applications; machined castings; and. water control systems.
The huge machining capability of Davy Markham allows the machining of a wide range of components from 20 tonne up to single piece castings in excess of 350 tonne to exact tolerances with only the lifting capability of the crane being the limiting factor. Davy Markham also employ a wide range of fabrication and welding techniques handling components between 3 to 250 mm thick.
